The Hearsemen - Rock of Mollock

Diese Band hat bei uns in Forum gekrakelt und ich habe ihnen mal ´nen Mail geschickt. Kurz darauf habe ich das Vergnügen The Hearsemen zu hören. Mit „Rock of Mollock“ geben uns die Skandinavier ihr neustes Demo. Eine 4 Song-CD mit rumpelig, punkig angehauchten Rock´n Roll ist es was mir hier entgegen dröhnt. Sänger Daniel hat einen Ozzy Osbourne-Touch und die Songs klingen auch ein klein wenig wie die flotteren Black Sabbath-Sachen, Ende der 70ger. Ja, ich weiß das beißt sich jetzt mit dem punkig angehaucht, aber lässt sich eben nicht anders erklären. Sobald der Gesang einsetzt denkt man halt an Black Sabbath.

Die Produktion der Scheibe ist soweit okay, man könnte da noch mehr draus machen. Aber für eine Demo-CD geht das schon soweit in Ordnung.

Viel zu sagen bleibt mir nicht mehr über dieses Demo. The Hearsemen klingen solide und versuchen ein eigenes Gesicht für ihre Musik zu finden. Es gelingt ihnen noch nicht, aber den Spaß an ihrer Musik hört man ihnen an. Checkt die Webseite für mehr Infos.

They wrote in our guestbook and I send them an E-mail, now I can listen to the music of The Hearsemen. With “Rock of Mollock” the Scandinavian 4-Some offers their newest demo. Four Songs of a bit punky Rock´n Roll is what you get here. Singer Daniel has his Ozzy Osbourne-Touch and when he sings I must think back to the late 70ties Records of Black Sabbath. Is he crazy, he wrote something about Punk and Black Sabbath. Yep, that sound a bit wired but so it is. Even when the Vocals reach my ear, the Black Sabbath-influence is there.

The Sound of this CD is Okay, sure they could do it in a better way. But for a demo it is okay.

The Hearsemen are sounding solid and try to find an own style. I think it will take some time till they have their own sound. But you can hear the fun that the band has, when they play their music. For more info and details check their Homepage.
