Switchblade - Switchblade Serenade

Diesen Jungs möchte ich nicht nachts über den Weg laufen…wenn ich mir das Cover anschaue krieg ich es ja schon fast mit der Angst zu tun. „Ken Anthony“ und Co schauen aus wie ein Trupp „Hell´s Angels“ die keinen Spass verstehen, wenn ich mir aber das Album anhöre dann glaube ich das man durchaus mit ihnen abfeiern könnte. Ihr Stil erinnert mich irgendwie einwenig an „Motörhead“ und „Rose Tattoo“, ohne Kompromisse wird hier abgerockt und das im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Auch wenn sie nicht gerade wie eine Sleaze Band aussehen, so sind sie da doch deutlich verwurzelt.

Mit „Pumping Beat“ geht’s los auf dieser Reise durch 11 feurige Sleaze n Roll Songs. Vor allem der Titeltrack „Switchblade Serenade“ geht gleich ins Ohr, smarter Refrain und dreckige Gitarren. Die Rocker kommen übrigens aus Dänemark und Sänger „Ken Anthony“ schrieb früher für einige namhafte Metal Magazine. Die Produktion des Albums finde ich ziemlich gelungen, was mir an dieser Band nicht so gefällt ist das „Ken“ mir zu wenig dreckig singt, die Musik hingegen ist Kick Ass Rock n´Roll. Die Song Qualität lässt stellenweise etwas zu wünschen übrig „Down n Dirty“ ist mir zu simple, der Chorus fackelt einfach nichts ab. „Live it up“ ist das Gegenbeispiel, ein zündender Track mit einem feinen Refrain. „Hate u“ gefällt mir auch sehr gut, da lässt sich die Mähne gut dazu schütteln. Also wer dreckigen Sleaze n Roll liebt und auf beispielsweise die Australier „Rose Tattoo“ steht, sollte sich diese Band einmal zu Gemüte führen.

Even if they do not look straight like a Sleaze volume, then are they there nevertheless clearly rootet in the sleaze.

With "Pumping Beat" geht's loosely on this journey by 11 fiery Sleaze n roll Songs. Above all the title TRACK "Switchblade Serenade" goes directly into the ear, smart Refrain and dirty guitars. The Rocker comes by the way from Denmark and singer "Ken Anthony" wrote in former times for some considerable Metal of magazines. I find the production of the album rather successful, what does not please me in such a way to these volumes is the "Ken" me sings too little dirty, the music is however Kick ASS Rockn'Roll. The Song quality lets wish in parts to something remaining "down n Dirty" is me too simple, the Chorus is not the real burner for me. "Live it UP" is theotherwise, a brilliant TRACK with a fine Refrain. "Hate u" pleases me also very well,there you can banged your hair to this track. Thoses who loves dirty Sleaze n roll and on for example the Australians "rose Tattoo" stands, this volume should itself lead once to mind.
