Silver Dirt - Sonic Boom

“Silver Dirt” sind bei uns kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr, “Rene” hat euch schon das Demo vom letzten Jahr vorgestellt und nun legen die Genfer Sleazer ihr neues Werk “Sonic Boom” vor. Bis auf einen Track sind alle Titel vom letzten Demo, auch hier vertreten. Die Produktion ist hier einfach um längen besser und die Jungs haben gleich 13 Songs am Start. „Silver Dirt“ spielen Sleaze angehauchten Kick Ass Rock n’ Roll und zwar vom feinsten, hier geht die Post ab liebe Freunde. Wer die Band schon Live gesehen hat der weis dass vor allem „Silver Steff“ die Bühne wie einen Wrestling Ring nutzt und der Sänger tobt wie der „Ultimate Warrior“ in den 80er. Auf diesem Demo haben sich es nun geschafft das phantastische Live Feeling auch auf CD zu pressen. Der Titeltrack ist nach wie vor mein Favorit, Killer Refrain und eine absolute Party Nummer wie ich es liebe. Auch sonst gibt es einige Perlen, „The Last Time“ tritt ordentlich in den Arsch und erinnert unweigerlich an die glorreichen Zeiten von „AC/DC“ oder „“Wrathchild“. Auch wenn die Band aus der Schweiz stammt hat man das Gefühl die Jungs kommen direkt aus England, der Sound hat das gewisse Flair. Die Vocals von „Silver Steff“ wirken auf dieser Scheibe um einiges besser als auf dem 05er Demo, das kann allerdings auch an der Produktion liegen. Wegen den Sleazy Vocals könnte man annehmen das der Silberne gesanglich eher limitiert ist, hört man ihr allerdings bei einem „Zeppelin“ Tribute Song, merkt man das es dieses Energiebündel echt drauf hat. Das schnelle „Mean Machine“ erinnert in Sachen Riffs an „AC/DC“ cooler Song der wie fast jeder Titel hier einfach nur eins Schwarze trifft. Auf „Sonic Boom“ gibt es auch den eint oder anderen Füller aber im Grossen und Ganzen rockt hier die Hütte, bei Tracks wie „Angel with Silver Wings“ muss man einfach mitfeiern. Merkt euch den Namen „Silver Dirt“ ihr werdet bestimmt noch einiges von den Schweizern hören und sicherlich auch auf Sleaze-Metal.com!!

On this demo, they have made to press the fantastic feeling on CD too. The titletrack is still my favorite, killer chorus and an absolute party number how I love it. There are some pearls too, „The Last Time“ kicks tidy in the ass and reminds unquestioning to the glory times of „AC/DC“ or „Wrathchild“. When the band comes from Switzerland too, you have the feel that the guys come direct from England, the sound has the certain feeling. The Vocals of „Silver Steff“ effects a little bit more on this disk, than on the demo 05, nevertheless this can lay in production too. You could assume that the silver is singing limited, because of the sleazy vocals, nevertheless you listen at their „Zeppelin“ tribute song, you notice that this energy bundle is really good. The fast „Mean Machine“ reminds in things of riffs to „AC/DC“, cool song, which hits into the black like almost every title here. On „Sonic Boom“, there is the one and other filler, but finally the shack rocks here, you just have to celebrate with at tracks like „Angel with Silver Wings“.
