Insgesamt kann man noch sagen, das besonders die Stimme von Sänger Tim Skold begeistert, die den Songs noch den speziellen Sleaze Touch gibt. Für Fans dieser Musikrichtung ist das Album sicher eine Empfehlung wert.
English:
„I want more“ by Shotgun Messiah is a rather short album, which in my opinion shows one more time the unlucky situation of the Glam and sleazerock szene in the beginning of the nineties. According to the very fast upcoming Grunge hype and the unfortunately as fast decreasing Glam hype everything, that wasn’t from the frustration music genre, had to be sold as long as somebody was still paying something for it. I can’t think of any other explication why the band didn’t return into the studio for a couple of months in order to finish the other half of the album.
At least the five songs are quite good; They represent rather dirty sleazerock with catchy hooklines that remind you a little bit at Guns n Roses. And are sometimes slower like the titletrack or faster like track number four “Babylon”. Also has to be mentioned song number five “Nobody’s home” that has been completely played with the acoustic guitar.
In total it has to be said that especially the voice of singer Tim Skold is convincing and gives the songs the right sleaze touch. “I want more” can be recommend to fans of this style of music.
