Seven Wishes - Destination: Alive

Mit neuem und recht ungewohntem Look und Line Up präsentieren uns Seven Wishes, ihr drittes Album „Destination: Alive“, auf einem silbernen Tablett. Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten mit ihrem UK Label, haben sie einen würdigen Partner im deutschen Label MTM gefunden. Nach dem Weggang, der überaus attraktiven Schlagzeugerin Linda Gustafsson und dem ehemaligen Gitarristen Anthony Cedergren, wurde das Line-Up neu gemischt und hinzu kamen Lennart Karlsson fürs Schlagzeug und Toby Andersson an der Gitarre und machten somit zusammen mit Pelle Andersson am Gesang und Tony Westgård am Bass das Quartett komplett. Ihre zwei vorherigen Alben waren von vornherein, dem Melodikrock zugeschrieben. „Destination: Alive“ ist sicher nichts neues, aber musikalisch gesehen, sind sie um einiges härter geworden. Mit mehr Schwung im Rhytmus, gefühlvolleren Texten und einer saftigen Energie, heben sie ab. Will man es kaum glauben, wird man hier eigentlich in jedem Song mit tollen Soundeffekten, geilen Riffen und einer gewaltigen Portion Songmelodie total neu überrascht. Vor allem hat sich die gesangliche Leistung von Pelle gebessert, wenn man die Alben „Seven Wishes“ 1999 und „Utopia“ 2001 gehört hat. Zu meinen Favouriten gehören im jeden Fall „Cross My Heart“, „Won´t See Me Cry“, „Picked Up My Pieces“, „Like A Cardhouse“ und der schönen Ballade „Time To Say Goodbye“. Ob es nun an den ganzen Veränderungen gelegen sein mag oder auch nicht, jedenfalls ist das Album mehr ausgereift und sehr gut produziert. Überzeugt euch selbst davon!

With a new and quite strange Look and Line Up present us Seven Wishes their third album „Destination: Alive“ on a silver tray. After initial difficulties with their UK label they have a dignified partner found in the German label MTM. After the departure of the extremely attractive drummer Linda Gustafsson and the former guitarist Anthony Cedergren, the Line Up was new mixed and Lennart Karlsson replaced the drums and Toby Andersson replaced the guitar and together with Pelle Andersson on vocals und Tony Westgård on bass was the quartet complete. Their two previous albums were from the start, ascribed to the melodicrock style. „Destination: Alive“ is sure nothing new but musically they get a bit harder. With a more swing in the rhythm, more sensible texts and a juicy energy, they take off. You wouldn´t believe it but almost in every song you get here actual extremely surprised with terrific sound effects, randy reefs and an enormous portion of song melody. The vocal performance of Pelle has mainly improved, if you known the albums „Seven Wishes“ 1999 and „Utopia“ 2001 before. In any case my favourites are „Cross My Heart“, „Won´t See Me Cry“, „Picked Up My Pieces“, „Like A Cardhouse“ and the nice ballad „Time To Say Goodbye“. If all the changes were the fault now or not, at all events the album is produced more mature and very well. Convince yourself of it themselves!
