Razorback - Criminal Justice

Melodic Freaks aufgepasst, "Criminal Justice" von "Razorback" schlägt ein wie eine Bombe. Die Band von "Rolf Munkers" (Majestic/Empire) und Wundersänger "Stefan Berggren (Company of Snakes) feuern uns mit ihrem zweiten Longplayer eine ordentliche Ladung "Melodic Power" um die Ohren. Der Grundstein für den kraftvollen Sound, legt "Stefan Berggren", der mit seiner Stimme alles wegfegt. Obwohl er in einer viel höheren Stimmlage singt, erinnert er mich phasenweise sehr an "Ronnie James Dio". Neu am Schlagzeug, sitzt übrigens "Andre Hilgers" ehemals "Axxis". Der Stil von "Razorback" ist mit wenigen Worten zu beschreiben, das Soundgewand beinhaltet schleppende Gitarren Axen, gepaart mit unglaublich starken Melodien, die sich an den 80er orientieren. Vergleichbare Bands wären da vielleicht "Black Sabbath" und "Dio" wobei sich die Refrains eher durch Granit fressen und mit frischen Chören glänzen. Auf schnelle Power Killer wartet man hier aber vergeblich, es geht sehr gemächlich vorwärts, aber das ist keines Wegs schlecht. Die Jungs verstehen ihr Handwerk und vom ersten Song "The Flame still Burns" bis hin zum letzten "Point of no Return" stimmt einfach alles. Mit "Hard to say Goodbye" gibt es natürlich auch die obligate geniale Ballade, wo man so richtig dahin schmilzt. Die Band geniest leider nicht gerade einen großen Bekanntheitsgrad, aber ich sag euch eins, die Jungs kicken und das nicht gerade ohne Effekt. Hört euch "Criminal Justice" bitte an, "Razorback" herrschen hier einfach nur, ein melodisches Feuerwerk von A-Z.

You wait in vain for fast power killers, it goes along easier, but this isn’t bad in any case. The guys understand their handwork and everything is right from the first song „The Flame still Burns“ till to the last one „Point of no Return“. Natural there’s the obligatory genius ballad with „Hard to say Goodbye“, where you right melt to that place. Unfortunately the band doesn’t enjoy a big known degree, but I tell you one, the guys kick and this not without effect.
