Ratt - Reach for the Sky

Komplett überzeugen konnten mich die Alben von Ratt bis auf “Out of the cellar” eigentlich nie. Einen gewissen Qualitätsstandard haben die Jungs aber immer gehalten. Und so findet sich auch auf „Reach for the sky“ der ein oder andere gute Song. Das Highlight des Albums ist wohl unbestritten das Lied Nummer Zwei „I want a woman“. Das ist echt saugeiler Glamrock, der voll abgeht und richtig Laune macht. Auch noch ganz gut sind die Song wie „Chain Reaction“ und „What it’s gonna be“, die den für Ratt typischen Sound bieten. Noch mal eine Schippe drauf legt hier das letzte Stück des Albums „What I’m after“, das Glam-mäßig noch mal richtig abrockt. Mit der Nummer Fünf „I want to love you tonight“ befindet sich auch noch eine Ballade auf dem Album, die aber eher mittelmäßig ist. Insgesamt ist „Reach for the sky“ ein sehr kommerzielles Album, dem einige Ecken und Kanten ganz gut getan hätten. Wie so oft bei Ratt gibt es hier neben den guten Songs auch einiges an Durchschnittsmaterial, worunter sich aber wenigstens kein Totalausfall befindet, so dass man sich das Album noch ganz gut anhören kann

Completely to convince me the albums of Ratt up to "Out of the cellar" actually never. Ok, the boyshowever always held a certain quality standard. And in such a way the appears itself for “Reach for the sky”, too. The highlight of the album is probably undisputed the song number two "I want A woman". That is genuinly awesome Glamrock, which goes off fully and makes mood correctly. The Songs six and nine, "chain Reaction" and " What´s it's gonna", which offer the Ratt typical sound. After that the top this songs with just the last song on the CD, “What I am after” is an Glamrocker like it is has to be.. With the number five "I want ton love you tonight" is also still another Ballad on the album, which is rather moderate however. Altogether "Reach for the sky" a very commercial album. I think the sound is a bit to much polished, when they amde it a little much rawer, it would be fir better.With Ratt there is like so often some here beside the good Songs also at average material, under what however at least no total failure is, so that one can sound oneself the album still completely well.
