Private Line - 21st Century Paradise

Die finnische Band Private Line ist mal wieder eine freudige Überraschung in der Rockszene. Ich bin durch einen guten Freund, auf die Band aufmerksam geworden und da war es für mich klar, dass ich mich über die Band näher informieren musste. Es ist kein Geheimnis, dass ihre Vorbilder in WASP, Hanoi Rocks und Mötley Crue zu suchen sind. Sie werden sogar auf Mötley Crues Tour 2005 Supportband in Finnland sein. Private Line fand Mitte der 90iger ihren Auftakt mit Sammy (sänger), Jari (gitarrist), der die Band später verließ und Eliaz (schlagzeug), die sich noch aus Schulzeiten kannten. Spit (bass) and Illy (gitarrist) kamen 1998 hinzu und seit 2002 gibt es Jack (gitarrist) in der Band. Private Line haben in diversen „Competitions“ teilgenommen, um die Band vorwärts zu bringen. Sie haben alles Geld in ihre erste EP „Smooth Motions“ 1998 hineingesteckt, hat aber zu keinem Deal geführt, bis jetzt! Mit Ihrem ersten Debut-Album „21st Century Pirates“ dass 2004 unter dem Label Bad Habits herausgebracht wurde, starten sie voll durch. Ihre Musik knüpft an den 80iger Sleaze und frühen 90iger Alternative Punk an. Das Einzigartige ist auch sicherlich Sammy´s Stimme, die oft auch mit Vince Neils (Mötley Crue) und Sebastian Bachs (Skid Row) Stimme verwechselt wird. Die Cover-Version von Mötleys „Live Wire“ ist ihnen super gut gelungen. Für mich klingt der Song, einfach besser ausgereift und wird durch eine hervorragende Darbietung, vielleicht etwas anders klingend….kombiniert. Einen Song heraus zu picken ist sehr schwer, da eigentlich jeder Song seine Eigenheiten hat. Zu meinen speziellen Favoriten zählen „1-800-Out-Of-Nowhere“, „Already Dead“, „Selflove-Sick“ und „Last Night On Earth“. Hier ist das Geld gut investiert. Ich wünsche den Kerlen viel Glück!!!

The finish band Private Line is a joyful surprise again in the rockscene. I have got by a good friend, aware of the band and it was clear for me there that I had to ask about the band more nearly. It isn't a secret that their examples have to be looked in WASP, Hanoi Rocks and Mötley Crue. They also will be Support act on the Mötley Crue Tour 2005 in Finland. Private Line was originally formed in the mid-90s by Sammy (vocals), Jari (guitar) who left the band later and Eliaz (drums) who known each other from the school time. Spit (bass) and Illy (guitar) joined them in 98 and since 2002 is Jack (guitar) in the band. Private Line participated in quite a few band competitions to bring them forward. They used all their prize monies to record and release their first EP „Smooth Motions“ in 1998 but it hasn't led to any deal up till now! With their first debut-album „21st Century Pirates“ who was released under the Label Bad Habits 2004 they go round again fully. Their music style ties into the 80s Sleaze and early 90s Alternative Punk. The unique one is surely also Sammy´s voice who often get mixed up with Vince Neils (Mötley Crue) and Sebastian Bachs (Skid Row) voice. The cover-version of Mötleys „Live Wire“ is very great. For me sounds it simply more better matured and combined by an excellent presentation perhaps sounding a bit different. To choose just one or more songs on the album it´s quite heavy because everyone has his peculiarities. To my spezial favourites counts „1-800-Out-Of-Nowhere“, „Already Dead“, „Selflove-Sick“ and „Last Night On Earth“. The money is invested here well. Good Luck, guys!!!!
