Pretty Boy Floyd - Porn Stars

Nicht viel neues gibt es auf diesem Album von den US Glam Helden Pretty Boy Floyd zu hören. Die meisten Songs kennt man schon von ihrem ersten Werk „Leather Boyz with electric toyz“ auf dieser Scheibe hört man einfach neu eingespielte Versionen, kann man sicherlich vertreten den ihr Debut erschien ja im Jahre 88 also zehn Jahre zuvor. Es hat aber auch noch andere Songs auf dem Album das nicht von „Leather Boyz stammt“ Der zweite Song „Shy Diane“ hört sich wirklich märchenhaft an, wie in alten Zeiten, Glam und die göttliche Stimme von Steve „Sex Summers“ ja so sollte diese Art von Musik gespielt werden, da können viele der an der Band ein Beispiel nehmen, auch Jahre nach ihren grössten Erfolgen noch den selben Touch zu versprühen. „Shout it out loud“ ist ein klassisches Kiss Cover, hört sich nett an aber auch nicht mehr. Besser wird es dann bei „Saturday Nite“ und der Ballade „Summer Luv“ es sind zwei göttliche Songs, vor allem „Summer Luv“ ist einer meiner PBF lieblings Songs, den Track könnt e ich mir stundenlang anhören, eine traumhaft schöne Bal-lade. Den Abschluss von Porn Stars macht „Dept. of Youth“ ja genau hierbei handelt es sich um einen Alice Cooper Song, die PBF Version gefällt mir aber um einiges besser, der Song hat Power und Steve singt hervorragend gut, ein echtes Highlite. Da es sich bei Porn Stars um ein Album mit grösstenteils alten Songs handelt gibt es in dem Fall keine Bewertung.

There’s nothing new to hear on this album of the US glam heroes Pretty Boy Floyd. The second song „Shy Diane“ sounds really fabulous like in old times, glam and the goddess voice of Steve „Sex Summers“., yeah this kind of music should played on this way, there could many take an example on this band, to spread yet the same touch years after their biggest successes too. „Shout it out loud“ is a classic Kiss cover, sounds nice, but nothing more. Then it becomes better at „Saturday Nite“ and the ballad „Summer Luv“, there are two goddess songs, „Summer Luv“ is one of my PBF favorite tracks, I could listen to the track for hours, a fantastic pretty ballad. The end of the porn stars makes „Dept. Of Youth“, yeah here it’s about a Alice Cooper song, but the PBF version pleases me some more, the song has power and Steve sings excellent good, a real highlight.
