I was really surprised to get an personal e-mail to me and when i read the name Porn on it, i wanted to delete it first. One thinks first to sex or anything anyway. However, my temperament curiosity has convinced me more anyway and let me read the e-mail. I was quite astonished how one can be mistaken sometimes, too. After I take a look on their website and they send me the first debut-album „Glitter, Danger & Toyboyz“ i wanted really to listen to it, to hear how they sounds. The Frenchmen´s have me expect surprised with their music again. Their Album didn´t sound bad at all. They themselves describe their music as melodic Industrial-Rock-Elixir with glamour flair, someplace between Nine inch Nails „Pretty-Hate- Machine“-phase, discreet Orgy-pigments, Manson-Esprit and single splinters of the brand HIM. Porns preference, a kind of interaction to celebrate, is very striking:
Refreshing, charming 80´s-swab with quite crashing synthetic and rumbling occasionally dirty sawing string kicks. Interwove we finally this with a hat full of emotions and the insistent, prominent voice of singer Valentine Porn. The songs bring a thoroughly versatile Repertoir both in the Midtempo banger with Groove („Soft Machine/Porn Machine“, „Recycles“ and „Still“) as also driving crispy ass-kicker („Don´t Be A Lady“, „Toyboy“). Porn have a little hand for good Songwriting and i think for supporters of the Industrial-Rock scene very suitably. In any case who likes the bands like Nine inch Nails, Manson or Him should not miss the opportunity and do an eavesdropping trip on Porns album.
