Poison - Looked what the Cat dragged in

Bei ihrem Debut Album „Look what the Cat dragged in“ griffen die US Glammer Boyz um Sänger „Bret Michaels“ tierisch in die Klischee Kiste der Schminktruhe. Das Cover alleine reicht schon um bei einem „Non Glammer Fan“ ein Kopfschütteln auszulösen. Für die Freunde des „Hairspray Metals“ ist das Debut Album von „Poison“ sicherlich ein halbes Meisterwerk. Gleich vier ausgekoppelte Hits befinden sich auf „Look What the Cat dragged in“, da hätten wir mal das smarte „Cry Tough“ den Partykracher „I want action“ die wunderbare Ballade „I won’t forget you“ und das kultige „Talk dirty to me“ vor allem die Lyrics bei letztem sind mehr als amüsant. Alle vier Videoclips zu den Songs sind absolut kultig, die kann man sich übrigens auf der „Poison DVD“ mit den Videohits ansehen. Ausser diesen Songs kann mich eigentlich nur noch der Titeltrack zu 100 % überzeugen ,die restlichen Songs können nicht ganz mit dem hohen Niveau mit heben. Das ändert aber nichts daran das „Poison“ mit ihrem Debut Album ziemlich gross eingeschlagen haben und innert Kürze in aller Munde waren, vor allem bei den weiblichen Rock Fans. An Klischee und Schminke ist „Look what the Cat dragged in“ jedenfalls kaum zu überbieten und stimmt die meisten Fans beim hören mehr als „Sleazy Happy“.

With its Debut album "Look what the Cat dragged in" reached US Glammer Boyz around singer "Bret Michaels" animal into the plate crate of the making up peace. The Cover alone is enough to cause already over with a "Non Glammer fan" a head vibrating. For the friends of the "Hairspray Metals" the Debut album of "Poison" is surely a half masterpiece. Equivalent four uncoupled hits are on "Look What the Cat dragged in", there would have we times the smarte "Cry Tough" the Party-cranker "I want action" the marvelous Ballads "I won't forget you" and the eternal classic"Talk dirty to me" above all the Lyrics with the latter are more than amusing. All four video tie-clips to the Songs are absolutely Cult, which one can by the way regard on the "Poison DVD" with the video hits. Except this Songs actually only the title TRACK can convince me to 100 %, which can lift remaining Songs not completely with the high level with. That changes however for nothing in it the "Poison" with its Debut album rather largely hit and within shortness in all mouth was, particularly with the female skirt fans. At plate and make-up is "Look what the Cat dragged in" to anyhow hardly over-bid and tunes most fans with hear more than "Sleazy Happy".
