Peppermint Creeps - AnimatronX

Glam Metal hat die Hügeln von Kalifornien verlassen, aber die "Peppermint Creeps" versuchen diesen Styl dort hin zurück zu bringen wo er früher so BIG war. Diese Band macht einfach Spass und ihre Musik ist wirklich gut. Ich habe am Anfang gedacht: Wieder eine talentlose Band die versucht auf die grosse Bühne zu kommen. Die Jungs haben mich aber von sich überzeugt. Die "Peppermint Creeps" hören sich wie eine Mischung aus Pretty Boy Floyd und Poison an. Der Sänger klingt auch sehr nach "Steve Summers".

Im Intro erzählt ein Roboter etwas von einer Mars Mission und Drogen und das er die Musik Industrie auf der Erde erobern will. Dann beginnt das Album mit dem Song "Creepshow". Dieser Track ist zwar gut, aber der Refrain wiederholt sich zu oft. Wenn ich es nicht besser wüsste¨, hätte ich gedacht es handle sich hier bei um die neue Pretty Boy Floyd CD. Diese Band würde ich gerne einmal live on Stage sehen. "AnimatronX" gefällt mir sehr gut, die Gitarren klingen als würden sie von C.C.Deville persönlich stammen. Schade, das sich keine Balladen auf dem Album befinden. Hört euch diese Band an, die Jungs sind klasse und das Gimmick ist echt kultig.

Glam Sleazy metal have left the high hills of California but Peppermint Creeps look to bring it back . Their latest release AnimatronX has some great tracks. This band is just about having fun with some good music. When I first received the CD from Peppermint Creeps. I said to myself another band trying to get away with a great stage show with no talent. Well Peppermint Creeps prove me wrong. These guys are on the style of Pretty Boy Floyd / Poison sounds somewhat like Steve Summers on voclas. The into to the CD is a robot talking to you about Mars drug abuse and their mission is to come to Earth to infiltrate the music industry. Then rocks into a anthem called Creepshow . The song is good but repeats too much. Coke Whore shows off some of the guitar work of the band. If I did not know who this band was I would think it was a new Pretty Boy Floyd Cd . I enjoyed listening it brought me back years ago when music was a party atmosphere. I love to see a stage show with some good music and that is what this band bring to the stage. Funny songs like Lesbian tells about a good friend that he almost married and found out she was going down on another girl called her a slut. Tuesday ( the break-up pt1 ) has the feel of the Ramones. Track eight has the return of the robot voice telling people to get a life and don't say your sorry, if your not sorry. 1-900 a song about phone sex is so funny talks about you can have her anytime you want and hope she is older than 17 guitar work just like CC Deville. The nice touch is that there are no ballads on this disc. please check this band out for a good time heavy make-up and fun songs.
