Und wieder einmal ein Glanzstück. Die Sprache ist von Paul Laines „Stick It In Your Ear“ Album, dass

1989 herauskam über Elektra Records. Gott sei dank wurde es 1995 über das Label Long Island Records Re-issued, da es ziemlich schwer zu kriegen war. Das Cover ist schön bunt gehalten und spricht einen auf Anhieb an. Mit dem Opener „One Step Over The Line“ liegt er hier völlig richtig. Tolle Zusammenstellung von Klängen wie Bongos, Keyboard und Klavier, der krasse rockige Einstieg mit knallharter Stimme macht es recht ungewöhnlich und als ersten Eindruck etwas langweilig. Das ändert sich aber total, wenn man es zum zweiten Mal hört und gleich weiter zu dem Song „We Are The Young“ weiterspringt. Spätestens hier wird einem klar, dass es ein superstarkes Album sein könnte. Für mich persönlich der beste Song auf diesem Album. Die krachige Gitarre und der Schlagzeugbeat schlagen den klassischen Melodikrock-Rhythmus vor. Der schöne, zum Mitsingen einladende Chorus spiegelt ein super Hit wieder. Mit der wundervollen Ballade „Dorianna“ kommen erstmals die Keyboards zum Erklingen, die tollen kräftigen Gitarren sprengen zusammen mit dem großartigen Organ Pauls die Liebeshürden. Und noch eine Ballade „Is It Love“ schreit er nur so heraus, dass einem die Ohren abfallen. Mit „Heart Of America“, „Main Attraction“ geht wieder die schnellere Gangart weiter. Der eingängige Gitarrenrhythmus und gleichmässige Druck in die Keyboard-Tasten verführt zum Mitklopfen. Mit „Doin´Time“ gehts dann in etwas bluesiger Weise weiter, dass passt auch irgendwie da rein. Mit „I´ll Be There“ ist wieder eine Ballade dran, die sich anhört als wäre man im Weltraum und schwebt nur so dahin. Der letzte Song „Break Down The Barricades“ ist ein Klassiker und eine Mischung aus Gitarren, hartem Schlagzeug und Pauls kräftiger Stimme geladen mit einer Portion Keyboards. Das kleine I-Tüppfelchen dieses Albums sind die vier Bonustracks und schon allein deswegen Wert dieses Album zu kaufen. „My Hometown“ ist wieder bluesig geladen. „Only Your Heart“ ein hammermässiger Melodikrock-Song wie auch die zwei folgenden Balladen „Keep On Running“ und „After The Rain“ hier bemerkt man richtig, wie wunderschön und treffsicher Pauls Stimme ist. Ein wahres Muss für jeden Melodiker!!!

And again once one pièce de résistance. I speak from Paul Laines „Stick It In Your Ear“ album, that was released 1989 through Elektra Records. Thank God it became Re-issued by Long Island Records in 1995 because it was rather heavily to get. The cover is kept beautifully colored and asks one about straight off. With the Opener „One Step Over The Line“ he lies completely correct. A terrific composition of sounds like bongos, keyboard and the piano, the glaring rock way to enter with a brutal voice makes it quite exceptionally and as the first impression a little boring. However, that changed totally when you listen it for the second time and equally jump to the next song „We Are The Young“. One gets clear at the latest here that it could be a super strong album. For me personal the best song on this album. The noisy guitar and the drums beat suggest the classic melodic pattern skirt rhythm. The beautiful chorus invites you to sing with and reflects one great hit again.With the wonderful ballad „Dorianna“ the keyboards come for the first time to resounding, the love hurdles blow up the terrific firm guitars together with the excellent organ of Paul. And one more ballad „Is It Love“ he scream it out in such a way the ears fall for one. With „Heart Of America“, „Main Attraction“ the faster gait goes on again. The catchy guitar rhythm and even pressure into the keyboard buttons lures into the beat time. With „Doin´Time“ it goes way further into more blues, that fits also somehow purely there. With „I´ll Be There“ once again a ballad which sounds as one would be in the space and floats gone only in such a way. The last song „Break Down The Barricades“ is a classic and a mix between guitars, strong beat and pauls powerful voice loaded with a portion keyboards. The big surprising of this album are the four Bonustracks and already because of the value alone buying this album. „My Hometown“ is a touch blues again. „Only Your Heart“ is a hammer Melodicrock-song as also the two following ballads „Keep On Running“ and „After The Rain“ here one remarks correctly how lovely and accurate Paul's voice is.
