Pantera - Metal Magic

Das so machen bekannte Band ihre Leichen im Keller hat ist ja bekannt, aber die „harten“ Jungs von PANTERA möchten ihre ersten Platten wohl am liebsten ungeschehen machen. Dachten viele Kids sicher COWBOYS FROM HELL wäre das Debüt der Kraftmeier aus Texas haben die sich aber geschnitten. Klar POWER-METAL gab es noch vorher, wo man eher JUDAS PRIEST –Artigen Metal spielte, gar nicht mal so verkehrt die Scheibe. Aber es gibt noch eine Zeit vor Gröhlheimer Phil Anselmo, und das führt uns zum eigentlichen Debüt der Band PANTERA ins Jahr 1983. Fangen wir bei dem blöd, dämlichen Cover an, eine Peinlichkeit sondergleichen. Dann kommt das Outfit, Dauerwelle, Spandex und Stirnbänder sind hier Programm und die Musik? Rumpeliger, sehr schwach gespielter Hardrock, der sich kaum hören lässt. Eröffnet wird das Werk vom größten KISS-Rip-Off aller Zeiten anstelle von RIDE MY ROCKET hätte man doch gleich besser den Song DETROIT ROCK CITY Covern sollen, anstelle das Riff 1 zu 1 zu übernehmen. Das Mikrofon vergewaltigte hier noch ein gewisser Donnie Hart, grauenhafter Gesang. Es sollen angeblich 2 Videoclips zu den Songs RIDE MY ROCKET und NOTHIN`ON existieren, doch ich bin froh die Teile nie zu Gesicht bekommen zu haben. Und rar ist diese grauenhafte Stück Musik auch noch, die Platte kostet über 100 Euro und die CD ist nie offiziell herausgebracht worden, ich besitze auch nur ein Bootleg. Braucht aber eh kein Mensch, wie PANTERA allgemein. Ich habe bis auf METAL MAGIC nie eine Scheibe von denen gekauft.

Many kids thought COWBOYS FROM HELL would be the debut of the power guys from Texas, but they were wrong. Sure, there was POWER-METAL before, where you played JUDAS PRIEST like metal sooner, the disc isn’t so inverted. But there is a time before singer Phil Anselmo yet, and this leads to the true debut of the band PANTERA into the year 1983. Let’s start at the stupid, dumb cover, a preciseness. Then comes the outfit, here are permanent wave, spandex and bandanas programme and the music? Rumbling, very weak played hard rock, who let itself hardly hear. The work will opened from the biggest KISS-Rip-off of all time, instead of RIDE MY ROCKET, you would have rather covered DETROIT ROCK CITY, instead to take over the riff one to one. A certain Donnie Hart has raped the microphone here, horrible singing. There should exist two videoclips to the songs RIDE MY ROCKET and NOTHIN’ON, but I’m happy, that I never have seen the parts. And this dreadful piece of music is rare too, the disc costs about 100 euro and the CD never got issued official, I only own a bootleg too, but no human need it, like PANTERA in general.
