Here we have a very great band from Amerika. No Respect are Jason Monroe (vocals), Nick Holmes (guitar), John Inman (guitar), John Vaughan (bass) und Todd Hughes (drums). If you listen this album you get remind of bands like Skid Row, Vain and Dangerous Toys. Crunchy guitars and powerful soaring vocals are qualities what No Respect represent here. This CD rocks from the first track to the last. No Respect was regarded by many as one of the best indie bands out there.Their „The American Dream“ EP set the stage fort his full lenght release. The Opener "Here To Stay" is quite rather nerve-wracking with nasty guitars, with some steamrolling harmonics and full movement. The next „Gravedancers“ is more pulled in the guitars with more feeling and some rest. Alternate guitar echos accompany the beginning of " At My Worst " with coarse sound. Nice full sound with shaky guitars and highly piercing song is the song "Parallel". Quite fast guitars ribs by " Over and Over " through the whole song with nice refrain. A half ballade we get to listen on „Tell Me Why“. Aggressive guitars and very high vocals like a shouting guitarsolo we have again in "Don't Give A Damn". Strong guitars whirl up the song "Whose Life is It ?". Quick guitar sound is the sign of the song "Those Were The Days". "Shot Me Down" lies with his trailing guitars rather well in the album. The best song is "Let Yourself Go" for me. The song reminds me very strongly of Motley Crüe. Really very good to dance to and to headbang. Rock as a party you have also in the songs "Dry Your Eyes" and " What's Your High? ". For me a superstrong album. Should you have absolutely in your collection.
