Lovechild - Lovechild

Als ich mich, wie so oft, auf dem Netz einwenig in der Hardrock Szene umsah, um neue Bands zu entdecken, stiess ich wie aus heiterem Himmel auf den Namen „Lovechild“. Als ich mir die Jungs genauer ansah, kam mir doch einer dieser Liechtensteiner bekannt vor.

“ Ja kein Wunder, das ist doch der ehemalige „Satrox“ Wundersänger „Werner Schweizer“?“ Nun gut, erst mal ganz klar gesagt, wer „Satrox“ liebte, der wird auch „Lovechild“ lieben. Doch seit wann gibt es „Lovechild“? Die Band gibt es seid knapp zwei Jahren, gegründet durch Roger Kaufmann und Thomas Mark in Vaduz. Zu unserem Hörglück, konnten die beiden den ehemaligen „Satrox“ Frontmann davon überzeugen, bei ihnen einzusteigen und hey, ich glaube, dass war kein Fehler.

Im Sommer 2003 wurde diese Maxi (in einer Eigenproduktion), die sich schlicht und einfach „Lovechild“ nennt, unter die Leute gebracht.

Auf dieser Maxi, die sich gerade das 100. Mal in meinem Player dreht, befinden sich vier Songs, die mich restlos von der Band überzeugt haben.

Der Opener „Battlefield“ ist eine wunderbare Ballade. Schon die ersten Klänge von „Werner’s“ Hammer Stimme verraten, dass er nichts an Stimmgewalt im Laufe der Jahre eingebüsst hat. Muss man doch bei vielen Bands einfach sagen, dass der Sänger zwar gut ist, aber leider nicht mehr, muss ich bei einem Kaliber wie „Werner Schweizer“ einfach sagen, dass er einmalig klingt. Man hört ihn aus 1000 Sängern heraus. Das ist in der heutigen Zeit ein verdammt grosses Kompliment an einen Sänger. „Battlefield“ frisst sich ziemlich schnell ins Ohr und man kann sich den Song zwanzig Mal anhören, er wirkt immer noch interessant. Schöner feiner Hard Rock, ohne nervige Keyboards, so soll es sein.

Der zweite Track „Eyes side Shut“ rockt dann los wie eine Rakete, wiederum brillanter Gesang. Vor allem die Hohen Töne werden perfekt getroffen, der Chorus wirkt sehr heroisch. Ich bin absolut davon überzeugt, dass dieser Titel Live ein Kracher ist, da werden die harten Gitarren beim Refrain noch besser zur Geltung kommen.

„Midnight Train“ kann mich erneut begeistern, schön schleppend, nicht mehr ganz so brechend, aber mit einem klasse Chorus. Leider geht diese Maxi mit „Close“ schon wieder zu Ende.



“Close“ ist wie „Battlefield“ eine sehr gefühlsvolle Ballade. Beim Gesang läuft es mir kalt den Rücken herunter, eine genialer Song, der in den 80’er wo möglich ein Hit geworden wäre. Wie so oft kann ich es einfach nicht verstehen, dass eine Band wie „Lovechild“, die eigentlich alles richtig macht und verdammt geile Songs auf Lager hat, keinen vernünftigen Plattenvertrag bekommt. Ich hoffe, dass sich das in Zukunft ändern wird und wir ein ganzes Album der vier Liechtensteiner zu Gesicht bekommen werden. Ich persönlich kann jedem Hardrock Fan der auf Rock mit starkem Gesang und heißen Melodien steht, diese Band ans Herz legen, für mich eines der Highlights der letzen Monaten, (wohl angemerkt, dass es diese Maxi schon länger zu kaufen gibt). Normalerweise werden bei uns keine Maxis oder Singles bewertet, in diese Fall mache ich aber ne Ausnahme, man möge mir verzeihen.

The second TRACK "Eyes side Shut" rockz then loosely like a rocket, again a brilliant singing, above all will perfectly met the high tones, the Chorus works very heroisch, I are absolutely of it convinces this title Live a Bomb is, there to become the hard guitars with the choruz still better to become effective. "can me again inspire, beautifully dragging, no longer completely so breaking Midnight Train" however with class a Chorus. Unfortunately this Maxi with "CLOSE" goes already again to end... "Close" is like "Battlefield" a very feelingful Ballad, with the singing runs it to me coldly the backs down, an ingenious Song... more.thiz one into the 80'er where possible a hit would have become. As I cannot understand it simply volume as "Lovechild" a those everything make correct actually as often and great Songs in stock condemns has, gets no reasonable disk contract. I personally can do each hard rock-sleaze fan on rock with strong singing and hot melodies stand, this volume to the heart to put, for me one of the Highlits of the last months, (probably marked it this Maxi already longer to buy gives).
