The only was has changed at the second album „Born Into Darkness“ from Letter X is the Line-Up. The new entry is the singer Michael Bormann (former singer of Jadded Heart). About his voice I mustn´t say anything here, one already knows it in the meantime and whether it is his taste or not. His voice at least matches for the songs here. What´s new is also a completely new attempt to their sound. Very astonishing because you think actually that the sound has remained the same properly if you know the first album. But no, they try it only just after a year of their debut with new songs in the direction of more progressive Hardrock but still very melodic. And i have to say that they´ve done it very well. It´s actually everything there what one desires.
Voice is effectively terrific, expressive and virtual guitars which almost completely drowns the bass and really excellent drums not sounding boring. The songs seem fresh and get stucked very easy in the ears after some runs without sounding distorted. If you want to listen to more ballads you find it in „Visions“ and „Neverending Love“, more progressive in „Born Into Darkness“, „We Live In Fear“ and „We´re Alive“ or kind some stamping songs as „Train Of Fools“, „Walls Of Confusion“, Illusions“, „Nowhere“ and „The Sign“ for everybody is there something.
This album contains and satisfies all demands and wishes which one can have and make. Comparisons are with bands like Crimson Glory, Bonfire or also Black Sabbath. With one word: Splendid!!
