Kreyson - Angel On The Run

Man möge es fast nicht für möglich halten, aber auch aus der Republik Tschechien kommen Hardrockbands zu Tage. Ich weiß eigentlich gar nicht mehr genau, wie ich an dieses Album gekommen bin, aber gut ist es trotzdem. Die Band mit Namen Kreyson und ihrem Debüt-Album „Angel On The Run“ haben sich 1989 zusammen getan, um 1990 dieses Album herauszubringen. Sie wurden unter die Sparte, des Power Metals geworfen. Dieses Album kam in zwei Versionen auf den Markt, die erste in tschechisch/deutscher Version 1990 und die zweite 1991 in englischer Form. Unter der Mitwirkung, als Co-Produzent von Gitarrist Ralf Kasparak (besser bekannt als Rock´n Rolf), dem Gründer von Running Wild, hört sich das Ganze auch gut an. Ich würde die Musik auch eine Mischung von Helloween, Gamma Ray und Running Wild nennen. Natürlich muss man auch beachten, dass dieses Album älter ist, aber sie spielen sehr gut und die Produktion leidet nicht darunter. Es gibt eigentlich alles auf diesem Album, was einer hören möchte. Möchte man mehr schnellere Songs hören, liegt man bei „Angel On The Run“ und „Golden Ark“ richtig. Hier werden die Gitarren nur so geschleudert und trotzdem haben sie einen netten Refrain dazwischen. Ist man mehr rockigeren Songs gewidmet, sind Songs wie „Kreyson“, „Skalp“, „Deep In The Night“ und „No Blue Skies“ richtig. Man muss sich zwar hier ab und zu an die hohe Stimme von Sänger Krizek gewöhnen, aber reicht der ein oder andere Song locker für Disco besuche aus. Etwas ruhiger geht’s bei den Songs „Dreamin´“ und „I Need You“ zu. Aber trotzdem können sie dem Album Stand halten. Die einzige Ballade ist mit „Faraway“ gegeben. Sie wirkt etwas verloren in mitten der anderen Songs. Ich kann das Album auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Die Jungs haben noch drei oder vier andere Alben danach aufgenommen, wobei ich nur „Crossfire“ noch kenne und die anderen in czechischer Sprache sind. Wer mehr wissen will, kann ohne weiteres im Internet einiges über die Jungs finden.

You almost doesn´t like to regard it but also from the republic of Czechia comes a good hard rock band. Actually I don´t know anymore how I get this album but it is nevertheless good. The band with name Kreyson and their debut album „Angel On The Run“ come together in 1989 to bring out this album in 1990. They were thrown in the music of Powermetal. This album came out with two versions, the first in Czech/German version 1990 and the second 1991 in English form on the market. Under the cooperation of producer and guitarist Ralf Kasparak (known better as Rock´n Rolf), the founder of Running Wild, sounds the whole album also good. I also would call the music a mixture of Helloween, Gamma Ray and Running Wild. Of course you have to pay attention that this album is older but they play very well and the production doesn't suffer from it. There is actually everything on this album what you want to listen to. Would you like to listen to more faster songs then are „Angel On The Run“ and „Golden Ark“ right. The guitars get flung here and they have a nice chorus in between. Do you want more rock songs then listen to „Kreyson“, „Skalp“, „Deep In The Night“ and „No Blue Skies“. You must get used to the high voice of singer Krizek here from time to time but anyway one or two songs you can here in some discos. Some more quieter songs are „Dreamin´“ and „I Need You“. But anyway they can withstand the album. The only ballad is „Faraway“. It seems a little bit lost in the middle of the other songs in this album. In any case I can recommend the album. The guys have made three or four other albums after this, in which I only know „Crossfire“ and the other are in czechia language.
