Johnny Lima - Same

Hier ist schon wieder so ein Bon Jovi Clone von mir ersichtet worden. Johnny Lima ist selbst wohl ein großer Bon Jovi Fan, denn anders zu beschreiben ist, sein Selbstbetiteltes Album, nicht zu sehen. Wirklich von vorne bis hinten zu viel schmachtende Melodikrock Songs. Vielleicht etwas mehr power in den Songs als damals in den 80igern. Was sich Hr.Lima dabei gedacht haben muss, kann ich mir nicht erklären. Als 1996 die CD herausgebracht wurde und zugleich weg als erstes, natürlich an die verrückten Japaner, war nicht viel in Europa über diese CD zu lesen oder zu berichten. Ich bin auch nur durch Zufall auf dieses Schmuckstück gelangt, als ich in England Hr.Lima persönlich kennen lernen durfte. Für Fans der 80´s bestimmt eine Bereicherung, nicht mehr und nicht weniger! Hätte er mehr eigene Ideen eingebracht und nicht versucht Bon Jovi Songs nachzuahmen, wäre die CD sicherlich ein Hit geworden. Aber so- tut mir leid Hr.Lima –ist es nur zweite Wahl! Für meinen Geschmack zu viel Balladen, zu wenig Power und keine richtigen Ohrwürmer, die hängen bleiben. Meine Lieblingssongs sind „Never Gonna Let U Go“, „Crazy“, „Into Your Arms“ und „Fly Angel“. Für jeden Bon Jovi Fan ein richtiges Schmankerl, für alle anderen, lasst lieber die Finger davon, wenn ihr die Richtung nicht mögt!

I find once again an Bon Jovi Clone. Johnny Lima seems to be a big Fan of Bon Jovi because otherwise i cannot described his self-entitled album. It´s really pure languishing Melodicrock songs from the beginning till the end. A little more energy in the songs as at that time in the 80´s perhaps.

What Mr. Lima must have thought i can´t explain. When the CD 1996 was released and first to the crazy japanese wasn´t much to read or to report in europe over it. I have reached this piece of jewelry also only by chance when i was in england and meet Mr.Lima by himself. For Fans of the 80´s for sure something to have –not more, not lesser! If he had brought in some more own ideas and not tried to imitate Bon Jovi Songs, the CD surely would have become a hit. But like that –sorry Mr.Lima –it´s only a second choice! For my taste to much ballads, to less energy and no correct earwigs, which hang getting stuck. My favourites are „Never Gonna Let U Go“, „Crazy“, „Into Your Arms“ and „Fly Angel“. For every Bon Jovi Fan a delicacy, for all others, let the fingers of it if you don't like the direction!
