Jesus Chrysler Superskunk - ...the loudest no!

Thrash Metal ist wieder „in“ und das beweisen uns auch „Jesus Chrysler Superskunk“ mit ihrem Debut Album „...the loudest no!“ dass bei „Dioxzion Records“ am 21.November erschienen ist. Das Line Up verspricht einige bekannte Namen, so kennt man denn Drummer „Sven Vormann“ noch von der Kult Thrash Band „Destruction“ und „Michael Gerstlauer“ aus „Hatesquad“ Zeiten. Also, nun wollt ihr wohl wissen wie sich „Jesus Chrysler Superskunk“ verkaufen? Tja, die Deutschen bieten uns schnörkellosen Thrash Metal, der mit Old School und New Thrash Elementen bestückt ist. Mir als „Bay Area Thrash Fan“ gefällt die Scheibe sehr gut, es wird nicht lange gefackelt sondern schön ordentlich aufs Tempo gedrückt und hie und da noch einen fetten Refrain aus der Tasche gezogen, wie etwa beim Titeltrack. Klar, ein Melodien Highlight findet man vergebens, aber dass ist es auch nicht was den Thrash Metal berühmt gemacht hat. Viel mehr werden hier die Instrumente als Waffen benutzt und man hat das Gefühl, es fliegen einem Schwerter um die Ohren, so wird hier gewirbelt. Anspiel Tipps habe ich euch in Form von „Fighting Day“ und „Revolution“. „...the loudest no!“ ist vielleicht kein Meisterwerk, aber eine verdammt coole Thrash Metal Platte.

Sure, you find a melody highlight in vain, but that isn’t it what has made the thrash metal famous too. Here the instruments get used much more as weapons and you have the feel, swords flies around the ears, so it gets whirled here.
