English Version:
So, I have pulled out a disk of the shelf again, which hasn’t everyone in his collection. The speech is from the „Hot’n’Nasty“ album from the year 1990, wich wears the same name like the band. I have taken a look in the net and I found some bands with the same name, I think the others haven’t much to do with our Swiss, which got supported from no one else than „Krokus“ guitar player „Fernando Von Arb“. This album got recorded in Basel and issued at Z Records. The stil of „Hot’n’Nasty“ isn’t simple to explain, I would say, hardrock with a pinch of sleaze rock like „The Dogs D’Amour“. Singer „Kim Powers“ dispose about a quite cool voice, which has troughout a recognition-worth. I can remember quite well in the year 1990, but I can’t remember in a press row at these guys, seeming that the disk went quite down. Well, there are really songs, which you rather shouldn’t have pressed on disk, but there is the one or other pearl. The band anthem „Hot’n’Nasty“ can let itself really hear and „Don’t walk Away“ is a brilliant song with a furious melodie in style of the „Quireboys“ too. The first three songs are really total boring, but then the guys start to rock, „Goin’ Down“ is awesome and the accoustic ballad „One for the Willing“ is off the chain. It goes along with the Rolling Stones cover „Dead Flowers“, that I think is succeed too. „Hot’n’Nasty“, this name obvious gets to less in connection with Swiss hard rock music, their disk is really succeed and hey, a sleaze rock band from Switzerland, there weren’t many in the 80’s, in the 90’s and to less now too. The album gets traded to a damn high price at auction-houses, I think this is over the top, but that’s rock’n’roll….or not? No, rock’n’roll would, if you usual could buy every damn CD in the trade or at onliners, without paying hellion prices, so what. (Translation by Dominic)
