Guild of Ages - One

Guild of Ages, früher bekannt als Caught in the Act (Cita), schlagen mit ihrem 1999er Debut-Album „One“ heftig ein. Wenn man die ersten beiden Alben „Relapse of Reason“ und „Heat Of Emotion“ von CITA kennt, weiß man eigentlich schon, was hier einem blüht. Nämlich guter Melodikrock vom Feinsten. Danny, Anthony, James und Steve stammen aus Denver, Colorado und zeigen uns, dass sie mit jedem Album nur besser werden können. Das Besondere an dieser Band ist natürlich wieder einmal der Sänger. Danny Martinez Stimme ist sehr einprägsam und wirkt als eine Mischung aus Terry Ilous (XYZ) und CJ Snare (Firehouse). Die Gitarren streichen nur so dahin, gefolgt von schnell rasanten Songs, zu gefühlvollen Refrains mit ergreifenden Texten. Tolle Songs wie „Will I Surrender“, „River of Desire“ und „I Believe“ gibt es haufenweise. Großartig geschrieben Songs wie „Something Inside“ und „Heaven is Waiting“ gehören einfach auf jede CD. Toll gepaarte zittrige Gitarren und einer Gänsehaut-Stimme, einfach super! Was soll man da mehr sagen! Qualität zeichnet sich aus, durch gute Produktion und Talent. Da das Album durch Bobby Barth (Axe, Blackfoot, Rose Tattoo) produziert wurde, kann eigentlich nichts verkehrt sein. Wer noch nie etwas von Cita gehört hat, muss sich unbedingt dieses Album kaufen.

When you known Citas albums „Relapse of Reason“ and „Heat of Emotion“ before, you know what comes here....Just good melodicrock at the best. The guitars just smooth, followed from fast heavy songs to sensitive refrains with grasp lyrics. Nice Songs like „Will I Surrender“, „River of Desire“ and „I Believe“ gets in heaps. Great written songs like „Something Inside“ and „Heaven is Waiting“ belongs on a CD. Beautiful shaky guitars and a goose-flesh voice, very superb! What should i say more! Quality shows through good production and talent. The album was also produced by Bobby Barth (Axe, Blackfoot, Rose Tattoo), so you can make nothing wrong. Who never here before from Cita should go and buy this album.
