Mann, was für eine Schande…..Liest man doch tatsächlich im Booklet, dass dieses Album schon 1993/94 aufgenommen wurde, jedoch nie veröffentlicht wurde, wegen der Grunge-Ära. Das nimmt einem gleich am Anfang, die ganze Spucke weg. Die Band, um die es hier geht ist Fury. Die Kanadier mit ihrem gleichnamigen Debüt-Album tun mir so richtig Leid. Wieso und weshalb das Album erst 2002 von Escape Music aufgetrieben wurde, wissen wohl nur die daran beteiligten Personen. Echt krass, hat man den Jungs doch wirklich die Chance weggenommen, sich früher zu bewerten. Ich bin sicher, sie hätten schon damals, viele Melodikrockfans dazu gewonnen. Schwimmen sie doch mit ihrer Musik in gleichen Gewässern, wie Bandkollegen Winger, Slaughter, Hardline oder auch Firehouse. Nimmt man Teile von Giant und House of Lords noch dazu, hat man eine saugute Produktion. Auch haben damals eine Menge namhafter Musiker wie Pat Steward (Bryan Adams) und Jim Vallance (Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne) mitgewirkt. Auch Namen wie Paul Laine, Chrissy Steele, George Christon (Kick Axe, Bitter Suite) und Dave Hopia (Distance), die ihre Stimmen als Background Vocals einsetzen, lassen einen Staunen. Einige Ohrwürmer, unterstrichen von Gas gebenden Rhythmen und treibenden Grooves und einer beachtlichen Gitarrenarbeit bläst uns hier um die Ohren. Chart verdächtige Knüller sind mit „Higher Ground“, „Fire“ oder „Hang ´em High“ gegeben. Richtig rockig spritzige Songs sind dagegen „I Don´t Take No For An Answer“ und „10.000 Girls“. Etwas lau sind die beiden Songs „Trouble“ und „Love“ geraten. Mehr auf den Groove achtend und mit einer Rhythmusgitarre alla Giant sind „Love´s Ammunition“ und „Up In Flames“. Die etwas ruhigeren Stücke, werden mit „Shouldn´t I Be (Lying In Your Arms)“ und „Eternal Flame“ dargeboten. Ich, als Frau würde schon alleine wegen den schnuckeligen Bildern, das Album kaufen. Aber muss ich auch sagen, die Jungs haben ein großes Talent und können auf jeden Fall im Regal unter all den tausend x-beliebigen Hardrockbands bestehen. Wer sich jetzt noch immer nicht entscheiden hat können, ob er dieses Album haben möchte, sollte schnellstens in den nächsten Laden rennen und sich dieses Album holen.

Hey, what a disgrace….. I read really in the booklet that this album was already made in 1993/94, but was never released, because of the Grunge area. This takes away immediately at the beginning, the whole spittle. The band i meant here is Fury. I am really sorry for the canadians with the self-titled debut album. Why the album was now released in 2002 by Escape Music, only the persons involved in probably knows it. Really crassly, they has taken away the guys the chance to value themselves already earlier. I am sure, they would have won even then, many melody rock fans in addition. Because they swim in the same water with their music style like band members of Winger, Slaughter, Hardline or also Firehouse. If you take parts of Giant and House of Lords on top of that, than you have a very great production of it. At that time also have helped an amount of famous musicians like Pat Steward (Bryan Adam) and Jim Vallance (Bryan Adam, Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne). Chart suspect Songs are given with „Higher Ground“, „Fire“ or „Hang ´em High“. Great rock sparkling songs are „I Don't Take No For An Answer" and „10,000 Girls". A little bit lukewarm are both songs „Trouble“ and „Love“. More Groove and with a rhythm guitar like Giant are „Love´s Ammunition“ and „Up In Flames“. The quieter ballads are presented with „Shouldn't I Be (Lying In Your Arms)“ and „Eternal Flame“. I, as a woman would buy me the album because of the cosy pictures. However, I must also say that the guys have a big talent and can exist anyway in the shelve under all the thousand hard rock bands. Who do not already decide yet if you like to have this album, should run as soon as possible in the next store and get this album.
