Five Fifteen - The Man who sold himself

Nachdem ich mir das Album der Finnen Five Fifteen nun schon einige Male angehört habe um überhaupt ein objektives Bild von der Musik und Band abzugeben, bin ich jedoch immer wieder zum gleichen Ergebnis gelangt. NICHTS NEUES!!!

Das Sextett, dass sogar zwei Sänger davon eine Frau hat, besteht ja jetzt schon seit Mitte der 80iger Jahre. Also haben sie nach 500 Auftritten reichlich viel Erfahrung gesammelt. Auch wenn sie in Finnland bekannt sind, und die meisten Rock´n Roller das Album mögen, kann ich nur wenig mit diesem Album anfangen. Das einzig gute, was ich definitiv sagen kann ist, dass dieses Album sehr gut produziert ist und die Bandmitglieder wissen was sie gesanglich wie auch beim spielen tun. Das die Songs „Mrs Rolling Stone“, „Silver Machine“ oder sogar „Rocking Horse“ klingen wie gute neueingespielte 60iger Rock´n Roll Songs ist mir schon klar. Also wer auf Thin Lizzy, The Who, Rolling Stones oder sogar auf Lenny Kravitz steht, dem muss das Album einfach gefallen, aber für einen echten Hardrocker ist das absolut nichts. Sogar die bekannten Namen wie Brian Robertson (Motörhead, Thin Lizzy), Nik Turner (Hawkind) hatten bei Ihnen Auftritte, oder wie herum man´s sehen will oder auch Ville Valo(HIM) der bei dem Song „Prostitute“ gesungen hat machen mich nicht wirklich an und die CD auch nicht besser für mich. Sorry aber es ist einfach kein Highlight Song dabei, den man immer wieder hören möchte. Um alles noch mal kurz zu fassen: Five Fifteen verdienen es sicherlich im gleichen Zug wie den Größen der 60iger Rock´n Roller Thin Lizzy, Rolling Stones genannt zu werden, vielleicht auch zum Teil vergleiche mit Classic Rock wie Deep Purple, aber den heutigen Hardrock haben sie verfehlt. Sad but True!!! Hierzu will ich noch sagen, dass ich eigentlich auch auf einen ganz anderen Geschmack stehe, somit hoffe ich verzeihen mir die Rock´n Roll Fans bisschen!

I have already listened now a few times to the album of Five Fifteen to give an objective picture of the music and band, however I have always reached the same result. NOTHING NEW!!!

The sextette, that even have two singer (male and female), exist now since the middle of the 80´s.

Therefore they have much experience after 500 Shows collected. Even if they are confessed in Finland and most of the old Rock´n Roller like the Album, but i can´t use this album. The only good things i definitely can say about the album, it´s good produced and the members no what they do in singing and playing. That the Songs „Mrs Rolling Stone“, „Silver Machine“ or even „Rocking Horse“ sounds like good new products of the 60´s Rock´n Roll is already clear to me. Who like Thin Lizzy, The Who, Rolling Stones or even Lenny Kravitz has to like the album, but for a real Hard Rocker is it absolutely nothing. Even the well-known Names like Brian Robertson (Motörhead, Thin Lizzy), Nik Turner (Hawkind) make an appearance or Ville Valo (HIM) sings on „Prostitute“, but it really don´t turns me on or make the CD better for me. Sorry, but it simply isn't a highlight song at this which one would like to hear again and again. To make it once again brief together: Five Fifteen surely deserve it to get called in the same trait such as the big 60´s Rock´n Roller Thin Lizzy, Rolling Stones, maybe some peace with Classic Rock as Deep Purple, but today´s Hardrock they failed. Sad but True!!!

To this I still want to say, that I stand actually also on a completely different taste, so i hope therefore the Rock´n Roll Fans little forgive me!
