Firehouse - Category 5

Es gibt eigentlich kein einziges "Firehouse" Album dass irgendwie schlecht ist, aber es gibt leider verdammt viele die total untergegangen sind. "Category 5" ist ein Silberling, für den sich kein Schwein interessiert hat, kein Wunder 1998 war diese Musik absolut out. Die Jungs um Sänger "CJ Snare" und dem unterbewerteten Gitarristen "Bill Leverty" waren Anfang der 90er in aller Munde und landeten mit der Ballade "Love of a Lifetime" einen echten Smash Hit. Die Love Songs von "Firehouse" suchten seid je her seines gleichen, was auf "Category 5" natürlich auch nicht anders ist, so hat man mit "Dream" wiederum einen Diamanten im Gepäck, der früher sicherlich in den Charts gelandet wäre. Nach dem zweiten Album "Hold your Fire" dass sich sehr gut verkaufte, war der Rummel um die Hard Rocker leider vorbei, dass sich die Amis sogar heute noch Musik machen, halte ich für ein Wunder. Andere hätten schon lange aufgegeben, aber hier sieht man halt, wer ein wahrer Musiker ist und wer nicht. Neben genialen Balladen (the day, the week & the weather,I'd doAnything) bietet uns "Category Five" auch noch ein paar coole Killer Tracks die höllisch abgehen. "The Night of were Young" ist ein wunderschöner Akustik Song der unter die Haut geht, ich finde überhaupt, dass die akustischen Sounds auf dieser Scheibe absolut gelungen sind und die sind wahrlich sehr reichlich. Schade dass dieses Album so wie die ganze Band in der heutigen Zeit so wenig Beachtung bekommt, die Jungs sind genau wie früher eine erstklassige Rock Band.
