Deathstars - Termination Bliss

Das neue Jahr verspricht jede Menge heissen Metal, aus dem Hause “Nuclear Blast” kommt neben der “Rocket Ride” Scheibe von “Edguy” das neue Album von den “Deathstars”. Ich habe mir ihr Debut „Synthetic Generation“ mal kurz angehört und dann zurück ins Regal gestellt, der Sound war gut, aber so richtig von Hocker gehauen haben mich die Songs nicht. Umso mehr gespannt war ich also von „Termination Bliss“ dem zweiten Longplayer der Schweden. Die Stilrichtung liegt irgendwo zwischen „Rammstein“ und „Type o Negative“, düstere Atmosphäre, Gothic Einschlag, Industrial Touch und verdammt Melodiös. Ich hätte nie im Leben erwartet dass mich diese Jungs so vom Hocker hauen, unglaublich welche Melodien uns hier um die Ohren geschossen werden. „Termination Bliss“ wird durch den heroischen Opener „Tongues“ eröffnet und man muss nahtlos anerkennen dass die Produktion absolut genial geworden ist. Mein Favorit ist ganz klar „Blitzkrieg“ das von den Vocals her sehr stark an „Rammstein“ erinnert. Über das Cover Artwork könnte man sich streiten, die Schweden zeigen sich hier bei in Uniformen, einige werden es geschmacklos finden und die anderen cool. Wie auch immer, die Songs treffen souverän ins Schwarze, „Motherzone“ glänzt mit einem smarten Refrain, genau wie „Cyanide“. Allgemein gilt zu sagen, dass die Songs perfekt in einen Horror Thriller passen würden, vom Ambiente her. 11 phantastisch abwechslungs- und innovative Tracks, verpackt mit ordentlich Charisma, das ist genau was „Termination Bliss“ ausmacht. Von A bis Z stimmt hier einfach alles und ich bin absolut davon überzeugt das die „Deathstars“ mit ihrem zweiten Album im Jahr 2006, voll durchstarten werden, mich haben sie sichtlich begeistert.

The new year promises a lot of hot metal, next to the „Rocket Ride“ disc of „Edguy“ the new album of the „Deathstars“. I have listened short to their debut „Synthetic Generation“ and have put back into the shelf, the sound was good, but the songs haven’t beaten me really down from the chair. I was more exicted for „Termination Bliss“ the second longplayer from the Swedens. The style toward lays somewhere between „Rammstein“ and „Type O Negative“, dark atmosphere, gothic impact, industrial touch and damn melodious. I never had expected, that these guys beat me down from the chair, incredible what kind of melodies get beaten around the ears. „Termination Bliss“ gets opened through the heroic opener „Tongues“ and you must seamless recognize, that the production has become absolut genius. My fave is quite sure „Blitzkrieg“ that reminds very strong to „Rammstein“ of the vocals. You could dispute about the cover artwork, the Swedens show themself in uniforms, some will find it tasteless and the others cool. However, the songs hit sovereign into the black, „Motherzone“ shines with a smart chorus, exact like „Cyanide“. In general needs to be value, that the songs would suit perfect into a horror thriller. Eleven fantastic various- and innovative tracks, packed up with tidy charme, that’s exact what „Termination Bliss“ makes up. Everything is right here from a till z and I’m absoluty convinced, that the „Deathstars“ will start through full with their second album in the year 2006, they visible have filled me with enthusiasm.
