Nun „Break out“ ist kein Hammer Album aber es hat ein paar gute Songs drauf „Crying Shame“ gefällt mir am besten, das reicht leider nicht für eine bessere Note.
English Version:
A band again, which has tried it, but couldn’t step into the big wide music world. „Cold Sweat“ from California were actual a very talented band, you mighty hear this. The opener „Four on the Floor“ shows, that they have power and can be quite power metal like if it has to be. „Cryin’ Shame“ is a first-class catchy tune, not so fast like the opener, but nice fine hard rock toward AOR. „Rory Cathey“ on the vocals has a good voice, but no one, which you hear out of hundreds of bands, he could follow with almost every melodic metal band. Then track number four is the obligatory ballad, you just expect something like that from such a band, the piece pleases me quite good, surely it’s no hit, but nice to listen and to soft-soap. Then, „Take this heart of Mine“ rocks off tidy, the choir isn’t bad too. „Killing Floor“ is groovier, but the refrain doesn’t please me generally. „Riviera“ starts accoustic and goes over into the rocky „Long way Down“, the song is quite passable. It’s really a shame, that no faster song comes along anymore after the opener, would have been to wish, somehow everything resembles a little bit and the refrains can’t really beat me out of the shoes. Yes, then it goes harder again. „Jump the Gun“ to call it by the name pleases me much more of „Cold Sweat“ than these 08/15 numbers like „Fistful of Money“. Well, „Break out“ is no killer album, but it has some good songs on it. „Cryin’ Shame“ pleases me at the best, unfortunately this doesn’t reach enough for a better mark.
