Cherry St. - Monroe

"Cherry St." ein Name der einem vielleicht nicht viel sagt, aber an den Vocals ist kein geringerer als " Marq Torein" von den "Bullet Boys" zu finden. "Monroe" ist im Jahre 1996 erschienen und wird nun von "Perris Records" wieder veröffentlicht. Die Scheibe rockt doch heftig ab, im Style von "Kick" und vielleicht noch der ersten "Bullet Boys" CD. Ein gewisser "AC/DC" Touch ist auch durchaus hörbar. Mit "Dogtown" wird einem gleich zu Beginn ein dreckiger Rock n Roller um die Ohren geworfen, der Refrain erinnert mich an einen anderen Song, mit fällt der Name nicht mehr ein, aber ich glaube es handelt sich dabei um einen Track von "Faster Pussycat". "One more Tonight" geht im selben Stil weiter, schön dreckiger Rock n Roll mit typischen "AC" Riffs, was noch nie schlecht war, solange es nicht wie eine Kopie der Australier klingt. "Marq Torein" singt verdammt gut, wenn ihr die letzten "Bullet Boys" Scheiben kennt, dann wisst ihr vielleicht wie übel die zuletzt waren. Diese Musik würde sicherlich sehr gut an einem Treffen der "Hell's Angels" ankommen, mean and dirty, yeah thats the way baby! Hard Rock Fans und Sleazer können hier ohne zu überlegen zugreifen, "Monroe" rockt die Alte aus der Hütte - Dreckiger Rock n Roll der alten Schule, was will man mehr?

The disk rocks off tidy, in style of „Kick“ and maybe the first „Bullet Boys“ CD yet. A certain „AC/DC“ Touch is throughout listenable too. A dirty rock’n’roller gets thrown around the ears in the beginning with „Dogtown“, the chorus reminds me to an other song, but the name doesn’t come in my mind, but I believe it’s about one track of „Faster Pussycat“. „One more tonight“ goes along in the same style, nice dirty rock’n’roll with typical „AC“ riffs, what never was bad, as long as it hasn’t sounded like a copy of the Australians. „Marq Torein“ sings damn good, if you know the last „Bullet Boys“ discs, then you maybe know, they were bad. This music surely would arrive very well in a meeting of the „Hell’s Angels“, mean and dirty, yeah that’s the way baby! hard rock fans and sleazer can catch here without to think, „Monroe“ rocks the old one out of the shack.
