After the last properly disappointing albums of Bonfire i was anyway quite surprised how you can be mistaken sometimes. „Strike Ten“ is like the title already tells you their tenth album and for me the best Bonfire album. The approved team around singer Claus Lessmann and guitarist Hans Ziller, who also produced the CD, introduce on „Stike Ten“ a dozen of pithier rocksongs here without making concessions to modern pop music. Here you feel again the right enjoying or happiness on melodic perfect organized songs and who see the tour know what i talk about. Although the stupid long and unnecessary talk from Claus goes quite on the nerves, they primarily talk nothing new. The energy loaded songs are with a lot of pep and a pinch's nonsense Lovesongs pollinated, therefore you will alone catches to headbang in any case. The absolute Con-thriller are clearly „Under Blue Skies“, „Strike Back“ and „Damn You“. And not forgetting the rolling to tears songs like „Southern Winds“ and „I Need You“. Also the bonustrack „Angel In White“ to find only on the limited version isn´t bad. You can say about Bonfire what you want, they show it to us again and again over 20 years and can produce great ablums like Strike Ten. If you listen it good then you will find some other songs in it like from the albums „Don´t Touch The Light“, „Fireworks“ and „Point Blank“ just more riped and experienced. Go and buy it!
