Billionaires Boys Club - Something Wicked Comes

Bei der Band Billionairs Boys Club, handelt es sich wieder um eine Band, mit bekannten Namen, zusammen gewürfelt aus zwei Schweden, einem Amerikaner und einem Deutschen. Am Gesang schreit sich Mark Boals, den man aus Yngwie Malmsteen Zeiten kennt, seine Stimme ab, der Gitarrist Jörg Fischer ist von Accept bekannt, Magnus Rosen und Anders Johansson von Hammerfall. Jetzt möchte man meinen, hier erwartet einen eine Musik zwischen Hardrock und Powermetal, ist aber weit gefehlt. Hier bekommt man Melodikrock vom Feinsten, auf die Ohren gedrückt. Die Band formierte sich zusammen und haben 1993 das Album „Something Wicked Comes“ herausgebracht. Schon der erste Song „Won´t See You Again“ kommt gut rüber. Schöne Melodien, eingängiger Rhythmus und ein tolles Gitarrensolo. Gute Arbeit. Bei „Voyeur Romance“ kommt mehr die Groove-Spielweise heraus. Schön langsam zitternde Gitarren begleiten den Song fortwährend durch. Etwas ruhiger geht es bei „Eternal Flame“ zu. Weinerliche Gitarren beginnen den Song und folgen ein bisschen im Blues-Takt weiter. „Something Wicked Comes“ rockt mit gezupftem Gitarrensound. Der Song erinnert mich ein wenig an Fair Warning Songs. Einfach Klasse. „No Time To Sleep“ geht flüssig über und hat einen schönen Chorus im Stile von Stryper oder Danger Danger. „Don´t Lie“ und „Down Down Down“ sind einfach nur rockig, mehr gibt es hier nicht zu sagen. „Can´t Last Forever“ ist die einzige Ballade hier. Sehr langsame Gitarrenklänge. „Send Your Fat Friend Home“ ist schnell gespielt und liegt so in Richtung Mr. Big. Der letzte Song „Inside Out“ rockt auch. Das Album kann man sich mal reinziehen. Gute Produkten und fehlerfrei gespielt. Ist auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert.

The band Billionairs Boys Club concerns again well-known names, together thrown with two Swedes, an American and a German. Now many people expect an album with music of hardrock and powermetal but it isn´t like that. Here you gets melodicrock of the finest, low-spirited on the ears. Nice melodies, catchy rhythm and a great Guitar-solo. Good work. With "Voyeur Romance" comes more the grooving play way out. Nice slowly shaking guitars accompany the song perpetually by. A little bit quiet is the song " Eternal Flame“. Tearful guitars begin the song and follow a little bit in the blues style further. "Something Wicked Comes" rocks with plucked guitar sound. The song remains me a bit of Fair Warning songs. Just great. "No Time To Sleep" goes over liquidly and has a nice chorus in the style of Stryper or Danger Danger. "Don't Lie" and "Down Down Down" are just sounding like rock, it´s nothing more to say here. "Can't Last Forever " is the only ballad here. Very slow guitar sounds. "Send Your Fat Friend Home " is fast played and lies in the direction of Mr. Big. The last song " Inside Out " also rocks. You can listen this album for sure. Good production and perfect played.I just can recommend it.
