Big Cock - Second Coming

Verdammt, das ist doch mal eine wahrhaftige Steigerung würde ich sagen. War das Debüt „Year of the Cock“ Anfang 2005 schon nicht von schlechten Eltern, so konnte sich der Vierer auf ihrem 2ten Album richtig steigern.

Das Intro macht uns klar, das die Band um Sirene Robert Manson (Ex-Lynch Mob, Cry of Love) es nun echt wissen will und „Fucked Up“ geht schön dreckig in die Vollen und die leichten Schwächen vom Debüt, was Sound angeht sind ausgemerzt. Der Vierer heizt durch das Album als wären die letzten 15 Jahre nicht gewesen und geben sich voll dem Sleazerock hin. Jedes Klischee wird ausgespielt und eine Band, welche sich Big Cock nennt darf das auch. Die Texte sind anzüglich und es wird offen von der Fickerei und dem Rockstar-Leben und wie großartig die Band sei, gesungen.

Nach gerade Mal 2 Runden hat mich „Second Coming“ in seinen Bann geschlagen und das kernig rockende Album mit seinem dreckigen Vibe läuft bei mir heiß.

Sänger Robert Manson klingt hier stellenweise wie eine ganz dreckige Version von Mark Slaughter und die Musik von Big Cock hat auch was vom geilen Slaughter-Debüt, nur ein wenig rauer. Auch Mats Leven zu seiner Zeit bei Swedish Erotica lässt sich als Vergleich heranziehen. Spontan fallen mir noch Spread Eagle aus New York ein, denen man ähnlich klingt. Nur eben mehr Rock´n Roll als Metal.

Der schon spürbare Blues-Touch vom Debüt ist auch hier wieder da und macht die Scheibe zu einem Fest. Big Cock sind in der Tat eine der geilsten neuen Bands in der Szene, spontan schießen mir alte Götterbands wie Circus of Power oder Little Caesar (She´s a Lady könnte ein Left over von denen sein), durch den Kopf wenn ich „Ride on me“ oder „Rock Hard“ höre.

Gegen Mitte des Albums drehen die Vier Hähne noch mal richtig auf und poltern wie eine Assi-Gang von Motorradrockern in eine Spießerhochzeit. „So easy bein´me“ und „Every inch of my Love“ geben den Startschuss für die Party mit Dauerständer bis zum Ende des Albums. Am Ende wird es noch mal ein wenig bedächtig und die Ballade „Lets make Love“ fordert alle Hörer zum Beischlaf auf.

Lasst euch nicht lumpen Leute und sucht den Kontakt zu Big Cock, denn in Europa hat die band glaub ich noch keinen Deal oder Vertrieb.

Hey, that’s what I call growing Process. The Debut from 2005 “Year of the Cock” was a cool first Impact, but now we have a better new album.

The Intro makes sure, the band around the Siren Robert Manson (Ex-Lynch Mob, Cry of Love) wants a piece of you and “Fucked Up” is a raw&dirty piece of Sleaze. I like the fact that the only weak point of the debut- it was the sound from my point of view, has been erased. This four-Piece rocks like the last 15 Years never has been. Every cliché is here and a band with the name Big Cock is allowed to do this is. I really love the lyrics about fuckin, being a Rockstar and telling how great this band is. Bulls eye I would say.

After 2 Rounds with “Second Coming” the Cock got me and I was fascinated by this awesome, rude and dirty CD.

Singer Robert Manson screams in the vain of Mark Slaughter, back in the glorious debut-Days of them. Spread Eagle from New York City comes to my mind when I listen to this CD. But Big Cock is more Rock´n Roll than Metal and that’s cool.

The fine blues-touch from the debut is still here and that’s great too. This mix made Big Cock to the hottest fuckerz in the Scene around. When I listen to tunes like “Rock Hard” or “Ride on me” the mighty Circus of Power or Little Cesar (she´s a lady could be a leftover of them) rushes though my mind. So great does sound Big Cocks new one.

But in the middle of the record the Sleaze-Rock-Party really starts to burn. Like some Bikers they run over some lovely sweet normal Weeding-party, if you can imagine this, the band comes over you like a buzz saw blade. “Easy being me” kicks it off and it ends up with the calm tune “Lets make Love”, this ballad is the command to do it all the time. This CD is like a Hard on the whole night through, don´t be a pussy and buy this CD.
