Barcode - Showdown

Hardcore Fans aufgepasst, mit „Showdown“ präsentieren uns die Dänen von „Barcore“ ihren vierten Longplayer und der schlägt ein wie ein harter kontrollierter Faustschlag ins Gesicht! An der Machine Gun Gitarre steht kein unbekannter „Dr.J.“ kennen wohl die meisten von seiner Hauptband „Hatesphere“. Was hat diese Band nun aber mit Metal zu tun? Eigentlich sehr viel, denn „Showdown“ ist zwar Hardcore, aber man hört hier auch außerordentlich starke Thrash und Speed Metal Elemente heraus. Nun, so mag der Opener „Shots Out“ noch typisch in Hardcore Sound gebettet sein, so überraschen Songs wie der Titeltrack „Showdown“ oder „No Lust for Life“ mit typischen Thrash Riffs. Die ungebremste Power die hier vom ersten bis zum letzten der 16 Titel durchgezogen wird, gefällt mir außerordentlich gut. Ich bin sonst eigentlich kein Fan solcher Musik, aber dieser Longplayer haut echt auf die Glocken. Typisch Hardcore ist übrigens die Länge der Songs, die zwischen 2 und 3 Minuten variiert. Anspiel Tipps sind unter anderem das rattenscharfe „Bad Standing“ und das überraschende „Accept“ Cover „Im a Rebel“. Wer immer schon mal wissen wollte wie Accept auf Hardcore LSD klingen der sollte sich das wahrlich nicht entgehen lassen. Fazit: „Showdown“ das ist rohe Gewalt, das ist Aggression, das ist Power, gepackt in Hardcore Songs mit einem energischen Thrash/Speed Touch. Neben HC und Hatesphere Fans könnte diese Scheibe auch bei Thrash Freaks auf Entzückung stoßen.

Already, who always wanted know how Accept sound on hardcore acid, who truly shouldn’t let this escape. Result: „Showdown“ that’s raw violence, that’s aggression, that’s power, packed into hardcore songs with an energetic thrash/speed touch.
