Und auch Lieder wie „Let’s get it up “Inject the venom“oder „Night of the long knives” wissen zu begeistern.
Doch „For those about to rock“ kann man immer noch uneingeschränkt jedem Fan empfehlen.
English Version:
Nobody will disagree with the saying that “Back in black” is the best AC/DC record; and there will also be no doubt about that „Highway to hell” is very close in second place. But there would be a lot of discussion about the third place. For me this would be “The razor’s edge”; but I could also understand when somebody prefers “For those about to rock”. It is the third album which AC/DC recorded with star-producer John “Mutt” Lange and therefore there are some very good songs to listen to.
The show begins with a highlight of the whole band career, the titletrack. Since then the slowly played Hardrocksong is part of every concert and every probably every fan knows it. Right behind comes my favourite song of the album, “Put the finger on you”, which really rocks and is almost a glamsong not only because of the text. And tracks like „Let’s get it up “Inject the venom“oder „Night of the long knives” are good as well. AC/DC have always liked to write very ironic songs which has been proved one more time with the song “Evil walks” that is probably dedicated to an ex-wife or girl-friend.
In total the blues influence is a little higher on this record and unfortunately it was the last good album before the band had a series of bad luck with the following records during the eighties. But “For those about to rock” can still be recommended to everybody.
