Whores to Rock´n Roll
So hier kommt schon wieder eine arschgeile Band aus Schweden, die Cowboy Prostitutes sind gerade dabei ihr erstes komplettes Album zusammen zu fummeln und die geile Single „Over the Top“ habe ich euch ja schon vorgestellt. Kurz und knapp sind die Antworten der Band, aber man hat sich Mühe gegeben ein richtig geiles Rock´n Roll-Interview hinzulegen. Wobei sich Sänger Luca Isabelle besonders hervor getan hat, ich finde es einfach nur geil. Ich war ehrlich gesagt echt begeistert das mir gleich mehrer Leute aus der Band die Fragen beantwortet haben.
Also Leute die übliche Prozedur am Anfang stellt eure Band mal den Lesern vor.
Luca: Zuerst verführen wir dich und dann schlagen wir dir die Zähne aus.
Anders: Wir sind 5 Leute die einfach nur geilen, guten Rock´n Roll spielen. Luca Isabelle am Gesang und Gesang, Anders an der Gitarre, Pistolper spielt Schlagzeug und Andreas an den Keyboards. Zuletzt ist jetzt noch Martin in die Band gekommen um an der Gitarrenfront für mehr Druck zu sorgen. Luca und ich haben die Band im Frühling 2003 gegründet mit der Idee Musik mit Power zu spielen. Welche uns irgendwie fehlte seit solche Bands wie Nirvana aufgetaucht sind.
Wo habt ihr den Namen „Cowboy Prostitutes“ her?
Luca: Wir sind wild und hässlich wie Cowboys und würden wie Huren alles für den Rock ´n Roll machen.
Eure Single „Over the Top“ ist sehr gut geworden, erzählt mal etwas darüber.
Luca: Es war ein verdammter Spaß, mit diesen verrückten Hunden zusammen die Songs aufzunehmen.
Anders: Danke, wir haben Weihnachten letzten Jahres mit den Aufnahmen für die Single begonnen. Die Songs waren soweit fertig und wir haben uns ein billiges Studio angemietet und haben die beiden Stücke in ein paar Tagen eingespielt.
Ihr habt erzählt, das ihr gerade dabei seit ein Album aufzunehmen, werden denn die beiden Songs von der Single auch darauf zu finden sein?
Luca: Ja, sicher. Es sind beides großartige Songs, die werden nicht außen vor gelassen.
Ja, dann erzählt mal was über das Album, rückt doch mal mit ein paar Songtiteln heraus, oder so was in der Art?
Luca: Wir haben die Scheibe in einem Atombunker irgendwo hier in Örebro aufgenommen, es klingt jetzt wie ein Witz aber es ist verdammt noch mal wahr. Wir haben eine super sound hier unten drin hingekriegt, außerdem ist der Sound- Engineer Oskar ein guter Freund von uns. Songtitel willst du haben? Da wäre dann „Blood on your blade“, oder „make a name for yourself“. Die Scheibe dürfte ungefähr im Oktober soweit sein, das wir sie veröffentlichen können. Sie ist dafür gemacht die Stereoanlagen auf der ganzen Welt zu erobern.
Was gibt es denn noch so für CDs oder Demos von euch?
Luca: Zur Zeit verticken wir über unsere Webseite das Demo „Take no Shit“ und die Single „Over the Top“.
Wie steht es mit Konzerten, was läuft da bei euch?
Luca: Im Moment planen wir ein paar Auftritte in Finnland, welche wir Ende des Jahres spielen wollen.
Wir verhandeln gerade mit ein paar Promotern, damit wir auch mal woanders in Europa spielen können. Also bettet das es klappt, vielleicht spielen wir ja sogar demnächst mal in einer Halle in deiner Nähe.
Was kann man den so von einem Cowboy Prostitutes-Konzert erwarten?
Luca: Du wirst es nie in deinem Leben vergessen.
Anders: Schweiß, Blut aber hoffentlich keine Tränen. Eine rohe und laute Erfahrung werdet ihr mit uns machen.
Wie steht es mit Groupies, habt ihr das was zu erzählen?
Luca: Die Frage überlasse ich mal lieber Pistolper und Andreas.
Pistolper: Groupies kick Ass!!!!!!!
Anders: Wir machen seit rund 15 Jahren Musik und sicherlich haben wir schon die ein oder andere Erfahrung mit dem weiblichen Geschlecht bzw. mit deren Angeboten gehabt. Aber Gentleman wie wir nun mal sind, geben wir da keine Details preis.
Was? Sauerei, ich wollte jedes schmutzige Detail wissen. Dann erzählt mal welche Band euch so beeinflusst haben?
Luca: Alles was mir das Hirn wegbläst, ich liebe zeug wie Mötley Crüe, Guns´n Roses, Junkyard, LA Guns
Pistolper: Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, Johnny Crash, Mötley Cüre, Kiss und Keith Richards.
Was meint ihr, hat der Sleazerock noch mal die Power so groß zu werden wie in den glorreichen 80zigern?
Luca: Ich weis zwar nicht so genau, was du mit Sleazerock meinst, aber der „In your face-, fuck you-Rock“ wird auf alle Fälle länger überleben, als wie der ganze Dreck, welchen die Label in den letzten Jahren so veröffentlicht haben. Das erste Album der Cowboy Prostitutes wird erscheint bald und du wirst vor Beigeisterung deinen Fernseher aus dem Fenster werfen. Wir zeigen diesen Drecks-Fake-Rockern wie The Darkness den Stinkefinger und all der ganzen anderen Scheiße welche dauert von MTV gespielt wird.
Ihr habt doch sicher auch alle Lieblingsscheiben, oder?

Pistolper: Das ändert sich bei mir fast von Woche zu Woche, aber sicher dabei “Sticky Finger” von den Stones und Led Zeppelin´s ersten drei Alben, treten immer noch Arsch!!

Nehmen wir mal an, ihr dürftet einen Tag lang mit euren Lieblingspornostar verbringen, wie sähe das aus?
Luca: Ich würde sie als Crash Test Dummy verwenden
Pistolper: Janine würde mein Apartment putzen, während ich Bier trinke und mir dabei eine runter hole. Sie würde dabei natürlich nackend sein.
Anders: Ich brauche immer eine helfende Hand um meine Verstärker und meinen Kram zu transportieren. Eine Nackte als Roadie also.
„Sex, drugs& Rock´n Roll“ beschreibt das euren Lebensstil?
Luca: Wir leben den Rock´n Roll und brüten ihn förmlich aus, das schließt Sex und Drogen also mit ein.
Anders: Also ich persönlich liebe Sex und Rock´n Roll, aber um harte Drogen mache ich doch lieber einen Bogen. Da verwandelt sich dann alles schnell in Scheiße. Ich bleibe lieber beim Alkohol, das liebe ich.
„Rock´n Roll is gonna save the world“ was denkt ihr so über diesen Spruch?
Luca: Er rettet die Welt sicherlich nicht mehr, aber er macht es erträglicher in ihr, oder auf ihr zu leben.
Anders: Nein! Aber es fällt einem einiges leichter mit Rockmusik. Meinst du etwa ich bin Sting???
Wie würdet ihr einen jungen Fan davon überzeugen, das die Cowboy Prostitutes tausend Mal besser sind als seine neuste Lieblingsband „Limp Bizkit“??
Luca: “They want your money, we want your soul.”
Pistolper: Ich würde ihm in die Fresse tretten und zu ihm sagen “Limp Bizkit sind total Kacke”
Anders: Unsere CD anmachen und die Musik den Rest erledigen lassen, das wäre alles.
Was haltet ihr so von Sleaze-Metal.com?
Luca: Ich meine ihr macht hervorragende Arbeit, das ihr die Undergroundbands an die Fans herantragt, welche sie sonst nirgends finden würden.

LUCA- First we’ll seduce you and then we’ll live you with a bunch of broken teeth in your mouth.
ANDERS- . It’s five guys that plays good ol´ rock. Luca Isabelle, lead vocals & bass, Anders, Guitar. Pistolper drums, Andreas Keyboard and the last one to join the band is Martin adding even more guitars. Me and Luca started the band in the spring of 03 with the idea of bringing back the raw power to the music that we thought had been missing since Nirvana came around.
From where you get the name “Cowboy Prostiutes”??
LUCA-We’re wild and ugly like cowboys and we’d do anything for rock’n’roll like a whore.
Your 2-Track CD is an awesome piece of music, tell us something about the recordings.
LUCA- It was great fun! It is always fun to play with these crazy fucks!
ANDERS- Thanks, we started the recording around Christmas time . The songs where already done so we hired this cheap studio and recorded the songs within a few days.
You told me that you´re in the recording an full CD in the moment, are the 2 songs from “Over the top” also on the CD?
LUCA- Of course they will! They’re both great songs so we don’t wont to leave them out.
Tell us something about the new CD, please, where you record, maybe some songtitel and when it is ready?
LUCA- We will record it in a atomic bunker in here in Örebro. I know it sounds like a joke but it is the truth. We really get some amazing sound in there+ the sound engineer (Oskar) is a good friend of the band. We have songs like: “Blood on your blade” and “Make a name for yourself”. It will be ready by the beginning of October and it will conquer every stereo around the world!
How many CDs are anvaiable now, from Cowboy prostiutes? Or any Demos?
LUCA- At the moment we are selling on our web-site our first demo “Take no shit” and the single “Over the top”.
How about concerts? Any touring in plan?
LUCA- We are planning a few gigs in Finland later this year and we are talking to some promoters to bring the band in Europe. Hold your prayers and if your lucky you’ll soon see us live in some venues near you.
What can we expect from an CP-Concert?
LUCA- You simply won’t forget it.
ANDERS- Sweat, blood and hopefully no tears. A very loud and raw experience.

LUCA- Anything that rocks my brains out! I love stuff like Motley Crue, Guns’n’Roses, Junkyard, LA GUNS.
PISTOLPER- Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, Johnny Cash,Dolly parton, G’n’R …
ANDERS-Different for all of us, but names that keeps on coming back is Lemmy, Mötley Crue, Kiss and Keith Richards.
Do you think that sleazerock can made an comeback like in the late 80ties?
LUCA- I don’t know about sleaze rock in particular, but certainly some form of “in your face”/ “fuck you” rock will emerge from the shit that record labels have been spreading around these last few years: after all Cowboy Prostitutes are coming out with their first album and it will make you throw your TV out of the widow and give the finger (or fingers) to shit like the Darkness and all that fake-rock that has been around on MTV.

“Rock´n roll is gonna save the world” your thoughts about this?
LUCA- Maybe it won’t save it, but it’ll definitely make it a better place to live in.
ANDERS- No!!! But it makes things a bit easier. Do you think I look like Sting??
How you would convince an young fan, that “Cowboy Prostitutes”are better than his fave band “limp Bizkit”, so far.
LUCA- “They want your money, we want your soul.”
PISTOLPER- I would kick him in the teeth and tell him: “Limp Bizkit suck, by the Way!”

LUCA- I think you’re doing a great job bringing good underground bands to the fans which wouldn’t otherwise hear of them.
